Optimization and waiting lists

Abstract

Together with Rodrigo A. Carrasco, Associate Professor at UC and Director of the Data Science Initiative, we discussed the versatility of mathematical optimization and process analysis, and how they have been applied—from the world’s largest radio telescope to the analysis of oncology waiting lists in the Metropolitan Region. Data Science with Jocelyn Dunstan Escudero is a project by the academic from DCC UC - IMC UC, researcher at AC3E and IMFD, aimed at showcasing the main features of specialties that enable people in the fields of computing and data science to better manage, utilize, and categorize data for our lives.
